Déjà vu as Bill Cutbill's New Resolution Reaches Half-Way Point
If there's anything we know about Bill Cutbill, it's that he doesn't stay quiet for long. He also very rarely seems to speak, but mostly pumps out a variety of music that we're very happy to provide the pipeline for.
You may remember, many moons ago, way before AMAZONAS, Bill underwent a rather fun project where as part of a New Year's Resolution, he vowed to release one track with a music video every month for an entire rotation. Spoiler alert, he kept the New Year's Resolution marking the first human to ever do so.
Well, now he's back at it with THE NEW RESOLUTION, and from what we've seen so far, it's looking a lot more introspective and personal than last time.
As we arrive into June, Bill has successfully released 5 tracks as part of THE NEW RESOLUTION –
January – When you feel it (Something Come Over Me)
February – Something Else (I'm Still Here)
March – Running Around (Give It Your Best)
April – Nerve Block
May – Benefit of the Doubt
We urge you to recap with him via the links above. If you'd rather not see behind the curtain (given Bill is largely showing the recording process in the videos this time around) you can throw him a bone and listen on bandcamp.
Bill, a man of few words, had this to say –
"If there's one thing I hate more than social media, it's when on a menu they call it a 'pint' but rather than give you the 20oz standard, they fob you off with a 16oz American pint."
"If I wanted to drink tiny beers, I'd go to America, not Canada. At least in 'The Land Of The Free' the booze is affordable... Canada has a crazy amount of malt, barley and fresh water but slap on prices like they're importing everything from Mars. And then what, you give me a 'pint' but it's actually smaller than normal because you hold dear the values of the Star Spangled?"
"Give me a break."
We're not really sure what that has to do with anything, but we do draw a conclusion that he's not potentially his most stable right now. Enjoy!
