Special Edition "O" Cassettes Available At The Huxlii Show Tonight
Idious Carrie is performing a rare solo show tonight, Jan 28th, at Burdock Music Hall in Toronto!
She'll be found supporting, Huxlii, which is the solo project of Sabrina who you may also know as part of Tange and Luna Li. The new EP "odds and ends but mostly ends" is out now. Additional support will come from Northey.
This one's almost sold out so be sure to grab one of the last few remaining tickets here to avoid disappointment.
To celebrate, Idious Carrie will have some limited edition Safe Sounds cassettes that have just been duped for 2021's double-A "O".
Yes it's the first time that this has ever been on cassette and each side features both the original single and a new mix revealing some of the complex layers from Nine Lives and The World As A Loose Garment.
Grab one of those at the show and we'll see ya there, okay?!
Idious Carrie's 9 Lives In Technicolor
9 Lives is an energetic missile of a track, taken from Idious Carrie's debut double-a release "O". This heavy rock ballad marks the start of Carrie's solo journey, who is well known in the Toronto music scene as a leading voice in psychedelic rock powerhouse Kali Horse.
The music video for 9 Lives is a work of art by The Oscillitarium and stars Idious amid a mass of colours that fizz and whirl in every direction. The lush organic tones of the music have been paired perfectly courtesy of the movie magic of Sarah Bassakyros, Sophia Bassakyros and Tobin Hopwood. The set was designed with help from Unfazed Floral's incredible flower arrangements.
Check out the video above or head over to Ultra Tube now! We love it and we're sure you will too.
Idious Carrie 'O' is Everywhere now!
Idious Carrie's O (SS112) is now available to stream everywhere!
"O, as the letter implies, is a container of... multitudes, a lens to peer through — but it’s also a bending of time, the future reaching back to commune with the past, recognizing itself within itself. Through it, Idious Carrie retrieves the resilient, unbroken thread holding together her life despite the chaos: ‘Into the rest of time / You’ll find me alright.’”
Go give it a listen on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, or alternatively search for Idious Carrie on your preferred platform.
