Jesus Christ... It's Christmas Again!

Merry Fuckin' Christmas from the team here at Safe Sounds!

We hope you're enjoying the day in style with your family and friends whether you are deeply religious, just use it as an chance to hang out with those you love and exchange gifts, or even if you choose to ignore it completely and make a stand in your own personal way!

The storm here in Canada and America has been crazy this year, so we're keeping everything crossed that you and your loved ones are safe, well and merry.

Here's a little ditty from our very own Bill Cutbill for you to enjoy: Merry Fuckin' Christmas

I'll say it one more time...

Let's end poverty, all types of inequality, and protect mother earth. Now that would be a Very... Merry... Christmas!

A Festive Message from Safe Sounds

Well, it's been another year of ups and downs across the world, but we've loved having the opportunity to share musical moments with y'all along the way. Art, music and community are the fire in our hearts, and we love being able to beam these rays through the cracks as we all swim on this earth.

We hope that you're able to spend the festive season with your family and friends as planned, or if not, that you're able to take some time to relax and reflect on the positives of 2021.

A quick recap on our year, which started and ended with World News music videos — Descenending in January and A Message for the Kids in December, not to mention the wonderful show they squeezed in with the incredible Theo Vandenhoff, Paulo Sinski Microband and Animal Party.

RUM DO's double-a arrived in a collision of sound and colour in February, but it wasn't going to end there...

2021 was a year where we welcomed four new artists/groups to the collective, starting with Theo's debut EP, Heartache Is An Empty Room. Then Idious Carrie blew us away with the double-a side O before Your Grandad shook the rafters with the Juice Opinion / Fake News split.

We were also over the moon to welcome Provincial Parcs, from whom Scenic Equilibrium has been serenading ears ever since.

Thank you to all of these wonderful and talented folks, and for everyone who has supported and enjoyed our releases along the way. This is very much a passion project for us, and all the great feedback we've received really does warm the cockles. Thanks also to everyone that submitted music to Safe Sounds this past year — we listen to everything that we are sent and have enjoyed your sounds and love letters.

Merry Fuckin' Christmas everyone! This is us signing off for 2021, but don't you worry, we'll have new music on the way in the New Year.
